A few mindful changes - still your Cunard voyage

Current guidelines - as of 13.10.2021

Please see our current vaccination policy for cruises departing September 25, 2021 through the end of 2021:

Following continued guest feedback, Cunard has revised its vaccination policy. For all cruises departing September 25 through December 31, 2021, all guests 18 years of age and older must have completed their vaccination at least 14 days prior to departure. All guests 17 years and younger must have their vaccination completed at least 14 days prior to travel or require a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to travel.  All guests will also need a negative COVID-19 test at the terminal. PCR and COVID-19 testing at the terminal is offered free of charge. Vaccination and testing policies will be reviewed periodically as the global situation evolves.

To make your Cunard cruise more enjoyable, the following measures have been introduced on board:

• Strict vaccination and testing regulations for all guests

• Health questionnaire before embarkation

• All areas of the ship are thoroughly and regularly cleaned and disinfected.

• Compliance with recognized standards for dealing with food and drink, entertainment and experiences on board and ashore

• Adequate social distancing in accordance with the latest guidelines for cruise lines

• We provide additional stations for hand disinfection.

• The ventilation systems on board have been improved to provide even better filtration and more fresh air on board.

• The wearing of face masks (medical standard) is stipulated in certain areas, including the port terminal, at any time at a border in closed rooms as well as in the theater also at the seats. Guests are free to remove their masks when sitting, on deck, or exercising in other public areas on the ship.

• In the beginning, we will operate with a reduced load factor on the ships in order to comply with the new protocols.

• The crew is subject to a more stringent test and quarantine regime as well as regular tests during their time on board.

Conclusion of a health insurance with worldwide validity:
All passengers must have concluded a health insurance with worldwide validity at the latest upon embarkation and must prove this at boarding.

Should a passenger not be able to present a worldwide valid health insurance at the check-in at the port, the access to the ship and thus the embarkation can be denied.
A confirmation of the insurance serves as proof for this; if possible also in English.
Three days before departure you have to fill in an online health declaration in the Voyage Personalizer
fill out. Once you are on board, everyone must keep up to date with the latest protocols.

**Note for guests with pre-existing medical conditions**
Unfortunately, when we resume our cruise operations, we cannot accept guests who have the following medical requirements:
Supplemental oxygen (including via an oxygen concentrator);
Mechanical ventilatory support (with the exception of overnight CPAP for sleep apnea);

Within the 14 days prior to the cruise:

Unwell due to confirmed or suspected COVID-19 disease; Close contact with a person with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 disease; You have been ordered by the health department or other regulatory agency to self-isolate. We are very sorry to have to introduce this.
The conditions of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (CDC) also apply to a cruise with Cunard Line.
The CDC has made changes to the requirements for cruise participation.

Current guidelines - as of 19.03.2021

We are following all latest guidance to evolve our enhanced protocols to protect the health and well-being of guests, crew and the communities we visit once we begin sailing again. Unfortunately when we return we will be unable to accept guests who have the following medical requirements:

- Supplementary oxygen (including via oxygen concentrator)
- Mechanical ventilatory support (except for overnight CPAP for sleep apnoea)
- Dialysis

Within the 14 days prior to the cruise:

- Have been unwell with confirmed or suspected COVID-19
- Have been in close contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19
- Have been advised to self-isolate under a government Test and Trace system

We are so sorry to have to make this change, but we need to follow new industry procedures for the protection of everyone on board. Any guest that is impacted by the requirement for supplementary oxygen, mechanical ventilatory support or dialysis will be given a full refund of monies paid to date for their bookings.

Linked bookings

Everyone on board will need to adhere to the most up-to-date guidance regarding the use of face-coverings and social distancing. Guests travelling with friends and family however are able to link their bookings so that they can form a travelling group on board up to a maximum number allowed by UK Government guidelines at the time of sailing – this will help to co-ordinate your experience.

This must be done at the time of booking; you will be unable to request this once you sail. Please call us or speak to your travel agent or travel advisor to link your bookings before you sail.

The ship's medical facility stocks basic supplies of emergency medications but a regular pharmacy service is not available. Guests should bring sufficient supplies of any regular medications with themn, to last at least 14 days beyond their holiday.

Travel and medical evacuation insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive holiday/vacation insurance when you sail with us including cover for COVID-19. While we hope you never have to use it, the policy will ensure you're able to relax and enjoy your holiday with the peace of mind that you're protected should you need it. Benefits should include medical evacuation including air-ambulance and repatriation. The insurance provider should be made aware of the cruise itinerary and any anticipated shore activities. All pre-existing medical conditions must be declared to the insurer as non-declaration of a medical conditions may nullify you insurance.

We thank you for your attention to the information and thank you for your support!
